About «Public Domain — 2019» contest

Every 1st of January people around the world are celebrating an unusual event called Public Domain Day. This day marks the passage into the Public Domain of significant amount of works. We are inviting you to take part in the contest, dedicated to this celebration.

The contest takes place in three nominations:

Nomination 1. Uploading the PD works into Wikisource. See details...

Nomination 2. Uploading reproductions of paintings and other visual arts works, as well as photoes that passed into PD due to expiry of copyright protection period, as well as contestants' photoes of related sculptures into Wikimedia Commons. See details...

Nomination 3. Writing Wikipedia articles about works of literature, science and art that passed into PD, as well as about authors of such works. See details...

The contest is open to any participants residing within the Russian Federation. To take part, include your contributions into respective table.

Contest is open for contributions made within the timeframe of January 1st, 2019 through March 31st, 2019 both dates inclusive (MSK timezone). See details...
