Wiki-initiatives already being implemented and other possible ones in cooperation with various local partners should be best coordinated and implemented in a programmatic manner.

The goal and achievement criteria править

To turn Tatarstan into a bright spot on the menntal map of the world:

  • Any kind of up-to-date encyclopedic information about Tatarstan is accessible to people and search engines in all languages of the world.
  • Information published in Wikimedia projects by Tatarstanians is significant, factual (neutral) and verifiable.
  • Population and organizations of Tatarstan are qualified participants and competent co-owners of all Wikimedia projects, respected by international Wiki-community.

Successful implementation of the project will require:

  • Creating effective coordination team, respected by all above mentioned parties,
  • Prepare a public Action Plan
  • Provide for international transparency and verifiability of all procedures, as well as regular status updates and reports.

  • Use pre-existing materials
    • at websites and in other documents of ministries and departments
    • at Wikimedia project websites
    • in other reliable sources (printed or electronic media, or websites)
  • Prepare as a list onwiki with links verifying their significance
  • Prepare tools for periodic monitoring of material quality, pageviews and degree of integration into the body of wiki-knowledge (what links here).

    • Describe significant phenomena with photo and video materials
      • Freely licensed materials will be necessary - either photography and uploading contests, or licensing of available ones under compatible licenses see examples
    • Upload into respective categories
    • Describe with machine-readable Structured Data tags
  • Multilingual Wikipedia
    • Creating and updating encyclopedic articles in various languages
    • Formatting them in line with policies and best practices
    • Providing proper wikification and linking to them from appropriate pages.
  • Multilingual Wikivoyage
    • Short description of aspects, important for visitors to respective settlement, district or natural territory
